Inn is located in southeast New Mexico in the heart of the
Artesia business district. Situated on the second floor of a
1905 Artesia commercial building, it was completely
remodeled in 1993 to become Artesia’s first Bed and
Breakfast.
Lodging here reminds one of the typical old west inns of the
early 1900s, but each room has all the modern conveniences
including a comfortable queen bed, private bath, wardrobe,
and desk, cable TV, and telephone. Dialup modem connections
and complementary high-speed wireless internet in all rooms.
There are 11 rooms available, 10 upstairs and 1 handicap
accessible room downstairs.

DINING
Each morning a continental breakfast is offered complimented
by coffee, hot tea and juice.
Across beautiful Main Street, you will find two
of Artesia's dining establishments that offer
exceptional fare, Artesia's only Microbrewery
the Wellhead Restaurant and Brewpub and famous
Mexican cuisine at the La Fonda Restaurant.
Just slightly more than a block away in a restored turn of
the century building you'll find Picolino with fine Italian
cuisine and dishes with a southwestern flare.
A convenience store and fast food are nearby.
EXERCISE
We have made arrangements with the Artesia Racquet and
Health Club to provide you with a wide variety of exercise
options. This club is open 24 hours a day and offers
racquetball, endless swimming pool, exercise rooms, both
cardiovascular and weight, sauna, whirlpool, aerobics 3
times per day, and for an additional charge by appointment,
you can schedule a massage. Racquet and racquet balls are
not provided.
ENTERTAINMENT
The Heritage Inn is the central hub for national attractions
that include the Carlsbad Caverns, Roswell UFO Museum,
Cloudcroft, Ski Apache, and Ruidoso Downs Horse Track, and
Lincoln, of Billy the Kid fame.
Artesia's newest renovation is the Artesia Main Street
Heritage Walkway: This project was completed as the first
phase of the Artesia Main Street's revitalization project
and is less than a block away. The Cinema Twin Movie Theater
is approximately two blocks away.
