National Park Tour
Here's a National Park tour suggestion to add three National Parks to your passport. Three National Parks in one loop that includes a charming bed and breakfast and a journey through one of the most diverse areas of the southwest. Beginning in El Paso, Texas the trek takes you past Guadalupe Mountains National Park. You can take one of the trails for spactacular views of the desert and majestic mountains.
Next stop Carlsbad Caverns for the bat flight just before sundown which won't cost you anything. Just stop at the visitor center and walk down to the natural entrance. Get dinner in Carlsbad and then drive to the beautiful Heritage Inn for the night. Then the following morning you can go back and take your time walking down into the cave and doing some of the auxillary tours available. Then back to the Heritage Inn to rest up for the night. Just across the street enjoy one of the best microbrews available at the Wellhead Restaurant and Brewpub.
Next morning you're off on a breathtaking adventure through the old west railroad town of Cloudcroft (9,000 ft) and then on to White Sands National Monument and back to El Paso, back home to dream of your next Southwest adventure. |
